COURSE OBJECTIVES

Participants will learn to:

  • Innerstand the moral and proverb of The Sun and the Wind. 
  • Innerstand the symbolic structure of Aesop’s fable
  • Explore Igbo cosmology and selected Alụsị as character archetypes.
  • Translate abstract forces into Igbo spiritual cosmology
  • Translate mythic elements into modern narrative settings.
  • Adapt sacred archetypes into modern contexts
  • Develop symbolic, layered characters rooted in spirituality.
  • Create contemporary moral tale grounded in spirituality
  • Maintain the spine, the spirit and integrity of the story and its proverb 
  • Produce a contemporary adaptation written and spoken.
