100 miles solo walk by griot Chinyere
Award winning Griot Chinyere one of Britain’s finest storyteller's is challenging herself to do what she has to do in order to do what needs to be done. Along with the ancestors, her spirit guides and the creator she will walk a 100 miles along the South Down Way. This African woman will start her walk Monday 1st June she has given herself 9 days but feels she may finish earlier.
The Nne Agwu Afrakan storytelling festival being such a unique event in our community makes it an important event for Shanti-Chi and the members of the community. Anyone who knows Griot Chinyere, knows she loves walking, however this is no walk in the park. It will be a major challenge to wake up every day, day after day for 9 days and walk, spending much of the day communing with Mother Nature. Griot Chinyere is doing a 100 mile sponsored walk to raise much needed funds for this essential cultural event. It is a big deal.
